UK Tenant Loans

An Finance Jungle UK Tenant Loan is a Personal Loan for people who rent their property like council tenants and housing association tenants or live with their parents or friends.

A Tenant will not have a home to offer as security. This is classed as a higher risk by Lenders so the interest rate will be higher than a Secured Loan. This shouldn't stop you applying for a Tenant Loan because keeping up regular payments on a loan would improve your Credit Rating if in the future you consider a Mortgage or another Loan.

Tenant Loan - The Facts:

  • An easy and manageable route to generating extra cash
  • You can use the cash for any purpose - for example, debt consolidation, home improvements, buying a car or going on holiday
  • Using this for Debt Consolidation means that with one single payment to make each month, you have more control over YOUR monthly budget
  • Repayment period can be anything from 3 - 25 years
  • Protected payment plans can provide extra peace of mind

If you live in a Council Property or Housing Association Property you will have no security. Maybe your job or contract makes you unable to actually own property or have any security or equity for loan commitments. All enquiries will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Some Lenders will lend to Tenants with some Adverse Credit History and the Independent Financial Processors I refer to will try to find a Tenant Loan for you.

However, your chances of obtaining a Tenant Loan will be greatly enhanced if you can answer YES to most of the following:

  • You are currently in salaried employment
  • You have lived at your current address for over 12 months
  • You have your own UK bank account
  • You have a credit/store card and keep up regular payments
  • You have a savings account to which you make regular payments
  • You have NO CCJ's, rent arrears or bankruptcy history
